Having the music stop from 4:30 AM to 5:30 AM and then start up again was different. I sure was glad when it did start up again. They stopped it right as Willy was pushing the button to play his very first track of the night. Their return around 8 AM to stop it completely made me sad as I was looking forward to Chadwick and Brad before I had to leave for the desert at 11 AM. That sure is a great location, with the trees and levels and stuff. Too bad it is where someone likes to call the cops on New Year's Day. That was the quietest gathering I have ever attended. At times I had to lower my voice so I could hear the music! I sure had a good time. Such happiness at times was almost overwhelming. What a fun and happy way to bring in the new year. All the smiles. This is the first time I have gone to a gathering that was organized for this reason, but a New Year's party made it even better. A happy group we were. One of my favorite days of the year is New Year's Day, and this was a great way to start the year for me. It was different to do this than what I have done for the last twenty-eight years in a row, so it had some novelty for me too besides the fact of being there to be with everyone. :) It was really great to be with so many of the people I had met and become friends with just this last year at various gatherings. I am looking forward to 2009 and future gatherings.
