Greetings everyone at tribe! Over the course of the next dozen or so days we will be putting up some tracks to give you guys something to enjoy for the time being. I'd like to present you with an alternative view on psychedelic music and to bring it's story back towards the direction it initially was taking, one of rich and vibrant open-air trance experience.

Today we start with the track that started off our album. This track, like the album, is called Leap of Faith, and with it comes a very fluid, booming and dusty outdoor sound, a style that we hope will define the music.

Listen to it at Beatbiz.net

Aerosis - Leap of Faith - 9:49 - 146 bpm

Aerosis' goal is to bring forth innovative new goa trance full of new sounds and variety and otherwise continue pushing the frontier that was established in the late 90s. Aerosis formed in the summer of 2006 and has been working on music for their project ever since. Their name was popularized when the first track they did together, Contorsion, was released under Suntrip Record's esteemed goa compilation - Twist Dreams:

The project consists of American artists Bobby Ognyanov (Synogen, Mindcrawlers) and Jeremy Green (Tempestuous G / Jagno Gaia), both age 19, and both have been producing for 4 years in solo as well as collaborative projects.

More music is to follow! And as always our myspace is frequently updated with samples or previews of new tracks. Check it out for some exlusives: www.myspace.com/aerosis
Feedback is much appreciated!

I'm no authority but I hit play and continued browsing and found myself bopping through most of it. Definitely got that revival feel. Maybe try to work on your drums a bit? They're kind of generic. Maybe try some different kits? Find something with some more punch?

Keep 'em coming. No school like old school! :))

Wow a response, I thought that was impossible on tribe ;)

The production is admittedly shabbier on Leap of Faith. Its an older track and the first I did on a new sound card and setup so I was not yet used to the frequencies. This is my excuse, but you are right about the drums. Goa in its heyday made use of the most ghetto percussion samples, understandably so for the time and this somehow transcends to today if you want to get that goa sound. I do expirament with many more aspects of the style though - can I get you to listen to an excerpt of a track, Desert Metaphors on the myspace? www.myspace.com/aerosis

Thats the latest track I've done and will post a download for it soon. Its a night track, alot more psychedelic and there is alot of direct inspiration from some of the local energies I've felt around our community in it - especially with the percussions and...chunky bass...

Here is where I get shy though and will stop talking and let the music speak :) More music comming soon.

And now for some recent work.

    Aerosis - Desert Metaphor - 10:15 - 144 bpm

Desert Metaphor is a night style track, it progresses very slowly and tells a long and twisted tale. At times dark, at times mystic, and all done with a modern approach and influence. People who liked Contorsion should be happy with this one. Alot of local inspiration and influence has gone into this track, and perhaps the first proggy goa ever in the intro?

    Check it out at Beatbiz.net

    Thanks everyone :)

Cool track. Darker and murkier than the other one. Interesting intro. Overall seemed more refined and mature(?) than the last track.

That's all I can think of. Keep at it!

Thanks, yeah that was the latest track I completed, there were about 6 months between leap of faith and desert metaphors. You can never stop learning with music production, so the sound seems to grow with you.

Since I seem to have gotten some mild feedback around here on these goa sounds, I'll share some older stuff with you guys. Synogen was 2003 - 2006 where I basically learned production and was just making music to vent emotion / for fun, no definitive goal but naturally alot of goa sound since thats what I'm keen on. Check Balkan for a pretty good morning style goa track. Daydrift is similar but alot more emotive.

So not super party music per se, but I thought I'd share none the less.
After this was a small project, Mindcrawlers from 2005 to 2006 where I collaborated with a friend. Andreas was into psy and I was into goa, and mindcrawlers was our blending of the two. Some interesting stuff here, check Firebloom and Goa Coaster, Elixer too.

If anyone wants these tracks in higher quality just send me a message.

As for Aerosis, still working on tracks as always, will post more as I get more satisfied with them. Aerosis is where I really seek to accomplish something with the goa I have in mind and the goa thats currently in revival in underground around the world. Check any of the releases from Suntrip Records if you want to listen in.
